Karin Slater is the co-chairperson of the Documentary Filmmakers Association (DFA).
In 2020, Karin was invited and honoured as a lifetime member of The Academy and acts as a judge of the Oscars.
Over the last 30 years of working as a documentary filmmaker and cinematographer, her work has screened at Sundance, Berlinale, Hot Docs, Museum of Modern Art in New York and won award numerous awards.
