DFMI Business Lab

Presented as part of DFMI’s year round programme

A 12-week digital programme of workshops on financial management, business skills, entertainment law and IP, and distribution strategies. The programme is aimed at nurturing and empowering filmmakers to develop sustainable careers. The programme is created to ensure filmmakers in early to mid-career have the necessary skills to effectively engage with a global market. The focus of the programme is to provide the necessary tools for the development of the producer’s business/company.

The programme is presented in English, with simultaneous translation in French and Portuguese.
Currently in its 4th edition, the DFMI Business Lab presented in partnership with DW Akademie, is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Developments, is opened to early career film industry professionals from across the continent.
